My reflection on the PYP exhibition and the actions I took

Reflection on the PYP exhibition

The topic I chose is Global Warming as I thought it was a burning issue. Grade 5 had a hard time to prepare for the PYP Exhibition but the challenges are now all done.
I faced many challenges but the biggest one was when we had to put all that is needed in our folder: contents, student questions and answers, bibliography, etc. because we had to research a lot and print and write and type, etc. I solved that challenge by doing all my best to finish what I started. I worked hard no matter what stopped me and I think it went quite well. That was not all, I also added more and more each time I felt like that piece could/should be kept in our folders – there was no deadline, keep on adding till you feel it’s done.
During all this time, whatever I learned for 2 months about global warming was ALL new to me – I did not know anything about any of the burning issues. Not even what they were? I even did not know how to make a folder that contains everything needed or a unit title, central idea, or inquiry points. It was a completely new topic for me and I learnt a lot.
I really liked what we did but there is one part that I really enjoyed – when we took action. It was fun, we had to do something to help stop whatever our burning issue was, and mine was global warming, so I turned off all the lights, fans, ACs, etc. that nobody used. We also could do something to warn other people about it – we could make a PPT and forward it saying to forward it, make pamphlets and distribute them, make badges and booklets to give out, and so on. Each one of us took actions towards different ones. I felt that it was a lot of fun.
If I did the PYP exhibition again I would do different things. I would take action towards more ways to help stop global warming. And I would work a bit harder.
As the 4th graders will have to do the exhibition too next year, this is what I would advice them: work hard, do their best, not to be nervous and to have fun. But, that it’s not going to be easy if they relax too much.
If I had to say that the PYP exhibition is like something, this is what I would say: The PYP exhibition is like a game where we have to show all our knowledge by talking in front of people without being nervous, by making charts and PPTs to show off our talent and knowledge, and more – but of course, everyone wins because they all did their best!
I think that all this hard work helped us to improve in variety of thing: handwriting, typing speed, research skills, team-work (cooperation), creativity, communication skills, and so on. We spent a lot of our time working on our PYP Exhibition but all that time was not waste but used. All this improvement wasn’t for any use – it prepared us for 6th grade. I am glad that the PYP Exhibition has helped us.


The Actions I Took

We worked on our action. Miss Poonam gave us lots of ideas: Make pamphlets, books (comic, story, etc.), cards, badges, bookmarks, etc., and distribute it. Or make a PPT and send it to lots of people saying to send it to other people they know like friends, family, etc. We can also help to stop the bad thing happening: global warming, drugs, endangered animals etc.

These are the actions I took:
Ø Sent a PPT to all the people I knew
Ø Went around the house turning off all the things that nobody used – for 3 days: the computer and the lights
Ø Made booklets and distributed them to my friends

These are the actions I will take:
Ø Make a comic book and let people read it
Ø Warn my family members about global warming

It's finally over

The exhibition is finally over. It was very exciting and it went well. It was very tiring to talk to so many people but it was fun. After all those days of hard work it was a good ending. But we still have to work hard on a BIG math test coming up on all our topics so far.

The EXHIBITION is now over, no more 'getting exited or scared'.
We are all done with what we were suposed to do. And this week-end is the most relaxing one after 2 months of busy days. But, .. another test is coming up, a BIG one, very very big one: math test of everything we learnt in math classes, again the hard- working part comes. So we will again start working hard because it's quite an important test.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN HAS ENDED

Well here it comes we are all ready for the big day the count down has finished. Now we must present to the seniors I think I am ready I am practicing my lines. I know my lines by heart and I'm not scared of the seniors I think i know more than they do abut drugs. I think that i have learned a lot more in these 2 months of researching than anyone . All the Help

In this Pyp exhibition our teachers have helped us a lot. I would like to thank all of these teachers for their efforts put in for helping and guiding us

• Ms.Poonam- Ms.Poonam helped a lot by guiding us through the whole process. She suggested ideas and showed us websites. She encouraged has encouraged the class a lot.
• Mr.Terence- Mr.Terence helped my group in our musical a lot like what expressions to put on our faces. He helped us on how to move from one scene to the other.
• Mr.Joseph- Mr.Joseph helped in our songs giving it a lovely tune. He helped by giving nice music to the musical.
• Ms.Preeta- Ms.Preeta helped us by helping us make the banners, posters, and charts.
• Ms.Sabha & Ms.Shuba- They have helped the girls in dance to choreograph there dance on global warming.

My group started a play and a song long ago. NOW IT IS FINISHED AND WE HAVE MEMO RIZED IT. Well now that we are ready I now look back and remember how much we struggled for the PYP exhibition and now how far we have come. Honestly it gives me joy looking at the times I used to struggle in math struggle on a PowerPoint Presentation and now I look at myself and see a whole new person. Now I have come far I even know what I'm going to say. I actually have to give a lot of credit to Mrs poonam if she hadn't pushed me I would have done almost nothing and I think some other people might be thinking the same as I am thinking. Not just Mrs poonam. I even have to thank rohit who helped me in my PowerPoint as well as karan that started the first thing in my PowerPoint presentation. If they didn't help me i would be nowhere. I have got some surveys that i have shown to people , but if hugo hadn't brought it then it would be a huge problem to. by riken appreciate who helps you

i know I'm ready for the pyp exhibition but the only worry i have is how good I'm going to be it over the count down has almost ended. it is time we work hard and and get our armour so we can do what we rehearsed for. i have chosen to work on substance abuse or drugs i have made the model i told u about earlier . all i think my class needs to do is put their posters and accesories up on the wall of presentation. I am so exited and scared at the same time. The PYP exhibition is almost here. I am making my model i have finished my PYP exhibition folder , my posters , my power point presentation now all i need is my model. i know what I'm going to say I'm waiting till the day comes I'm rehearsing a lot so when the day comes I know what to say and I will be good. Reflection on our PYP Exhibition so far

Grade 5 has worked hard for the past 2 months, and I think it we are doing quite well.
I think that all this hard work helped us to improve in variety of thing: handwriting, typing speed, research skills, team-work (cooperation), creativity, communication skills, and so on. We spent a lot of our time working on our PYP Exhibition but it helped us a lot. All this improvement wasn’t for any use – it prepared us for 6th grade. I am glad that the PYP Exhibition has helped us. I look forward to the big day – only 4~5 more days left.

Our dances,songs and drama

We are done with choreographing our environmental dance. We also practised our song and it was coming out great. And we are almost done with are drama. And some of the global warming girls are also doing a puppet show. So we are almost done with all our cultural programmes. I am really excited for the PYP Exhibition and I am waiting for it!

The PYP Exhibition on Substance Abuse

Today Mrs. Poonam told us that our song and mime were done. Now all we have to work on is our lines, costumes and our posters. The PYP exhibition is going well and all of grade 5's exhibition topics are getting finalized. We found out today that the exhibition would be preponed by 2 days. That only gives us 5 days. I think the PYP exhibition will be a huge hit.

How Our Teachers Helped

In the PYP Exhibition our teachers helped to make our ideas even better. Many teachers helped in all sorts of  things. Ms. Poonam helped me in giving me some news articles and helped me to plan my poster. She also helped us get our inquiry points. Ms. Prita helped us with our awareness  posters. Mr. Terrence helped us lot with our mime. Mr. Joseph helped us with our song by making the music.

Today we did many things for the exhibition. We practiced our environmental dance in the morning. We also practiced the songs in our play with Mr. Joseph. In class, I wrote my lines for the final day. At home, I worked on my posters and my powerpoint presentation.

The PYP Exhibition Drug Song and Skit

The substance abuse group thought of a mime and and songs to sing. Our mime is still being spruced up and the drug song is almost done. For the drug song I will be singing a solo and the rest of the group will be singing another song. Our skit is about a boy who took drugs and started losing his friend.At the end the boy stops takink drugs. Mr. Joseph, Mr.Terance and Mrs. Poonam have been helping us a lot everyday. I think the PYP Exhibition will be a huge hit.

What I've Done This Week

I made a PPT on what drugs can do to the brain. I practiced the drug song with m group and finalized it (but we still need to practice it a bit more.) I called up Ruchi's mom and asked for the address of the shirt making shop, so that i can make shirts for my group. I made some lines for the exhibition and memorized them. I will present my lines to Mrs. Poonam and see if they're good or not. I will make a model of the brain and mark the parts of the brain and explain what drugs do to those parts. I will make a folder on the topic. And I plan to do well in the PYP EXHIBITION!!!!!

There's just 10 more days till the exhibition!! Today we worked very, very hard on the exhibition. We worked on our songs, dance, drama. In the morning, we went to the art room and worked on our puppet show, posters, and other things. Afterwards, we went to the music room and we worked on the Earth song, Industrial song, Sun song, Heat-lets song, and the Imagine a World song with Mr. Joseph. We also worked on our environmental dance and finished it!!!! We also finalized on the costumes. Mr. Terrence also helped us a lot on the play for about two hours. Then, in class, we also talked more about the exhibition.

How my teachers Helped Me--

1. Ms. Poonam helped us a lot throughout the exhibition. On the first day, she explained what the PYP Exhibition was. She also went over the skills, concepts, atittudes, etc. with us. Ms. Poonam also always brought in articles and magazines and other things for us to see. She showed us many websites on the computer. Ms. Poonam also gave us ideas on what to do for the exhibition and she told us what to do.
2. Mr. Terrence helped us a lot in the play. He helped us make the script and he showed us how to act out the play properly and where we could improve.
3. Mr. Joseph also helped us a lot with the songs in the play. He helped us make the words and helped us make the tune.
4. Ms. Sabha and Ms. Shubha helped us with the dance. They gave us ideas for the steps, where to change the steps, etc.
5. Ms. Preeta helped us make the posters, Earth, etc.

10 more days till the Exhibition, I am so excited. Me and Nikita have finalized nearly everything we are going to show (topic:Polar Ice Caps). We have done our model, poster and phamplet. We have worked very hard for this exhibition and I am sure it will be a big success.

Today(May 19th, 2008) We practiced our play, songs and dances. We finished all the songs that we made with Mr. Josephs help. the songs that we wrote were the the Earth song, The industrial song, the gases song, the sun song, the heatlet song and Imagine a world song (All these songs are in the play). And we practiced our play with Mr. Terrence. We saw Zoish's power point that was really good. the class saw the schedule for the programme.

How our teachers helped us:
Mrs. Poonam told us what the PYP Exhibition is and she also guided us through the PYP Exhibition. She told us about the PYP Profiles, the skills, the attitudes , the concepts. She told us how we have to talk on the final day. Mrs. Poonam convinced us that the PYP Exhibition is not a joke!!!!!

Countdown of mine! :)

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, the BIG day!
Just 10 more days (29th) and we will talk in front of the whole PYP students. I'm exited.
Today, 19th May 2008, we finalized the performations, e.g. - play, dance, songs.
My topic that I will be talking about are "Power Plants". Basically about the different types of power plants as well as which of them causes pollution, and which of them doesn't. Followed by 1~3 charts and a model (maybe) with a nice background behind me.
I'm looking forward for a good job from me.

Today we worked a lot on the exhibition. Ms. Poonam showed a lot of things on the computer about global warming and she gave us ideas on what to do for the exhibition. I also started making my lines on what I was going to talk about on the final PYP Exhibition day. I also planned out what I am going to show. I have also finished making the folder. We also practiced our global warming dance.

For my alcohol poster I plan on putting a lot of information on it. Like,
putting my survey, the effects, a lot of pictures, advertisments, companies, and graphs. I also made a survey which I am going to give to many adults and even teachers in Indus.

Almost Done!

Today is the 10th May 2008, and we are researching about the topic we are going to talk to the parents. I am doing “The Natural Disasters caused by Global Warming”.
These are my plans:

I was about to do pollution and global warming in Korea but then I changed to the types of pollution and finally I changed to the disasters because of global warming and I would remain on that topic.

Action Plans

 First for the PYP Exhibition I Plan on making around 100 badges on Drug abuse. Then I might create a website with a lot of information, and for kids to learn how to say no.

I will either make a comic or a story which younger kids might think it is interesting. I plan on making some small brochures, which I will give out in the exhibition.

What we did today

Today we made bookmarks, badges, cards etc on Global Warming I made a bookmark. I have worked on my folder and planned with Nikita what we are going to show on the PYP Exhibition. Our topic is"The Melting of polar Ice Caps". Today, Grade 5A spent a lot of time on the PYP Exhibition-

1. We worked on the Global Warming play.
2. Some people made badges that say, "Stop Global Warming"
3. We also worked on the Global Warming dance. In the dance we have four scenes. We are almost done coreographing the dance.
4. Ms. Poonam also talked a lot about the folders for the exhibition.
5. Ms. Poonam also talked to us about actions that we can do-

• Make a story/comic on global warming
• make a pamphlet on global warming and give it to people on the PYP Exhibition day
• Make badges/cards
• make a website
• make posters

What we did today (6th April)

Today is the 6th May 2008. In class we did UOI for 4 periods but all that time was not wasted, it was used. We practiced the Global Warming play. Then, miss gave me and Rhea an article which said that some people collected the wasted food, vegetable peels, fresh garbage, dry leaves, etc. from their apartment into a big place, then after some days, they kept bacteria and earthworms in that place so it threw its waste in there so our waste and its waste mixed and it became good manure but it takes time. So they kept little bit in packets and sold them. So not only they earned money, they helped the environment. So Rhea and I decided to do that kind of an action: do what those people did. We didn’t think that we could do it at home because we didn’t have a garden big enough, so we decided to do it in school. We first needed to collect garbage and waste. So we also wanted to know where the wasted food and vegetables peels from our school go. Then Rhea and I made a bigger group (so Sara and Ricky joined) and made the interview questions to ask Mr. Ramaswami. After the interview, we shared what each group has done for one period. Our group told the answers of Mr. Ramaswami. The boys made badges and bookmarks saying not to take drugs.
Miss said that we could make a card. A card that is folded into a quarter (1/4). So on the folded side, we can draw the Earth in the past, but when opened the drawing is all pollution.
Our teacher also said that we could make a pamphlet about pollution and global warming. Everyone can make 20 to 30 of them.
There was on the internet a site which is www.kidsforfuture.com . On that site, it showed a comic that was about how we can change the future so we wouldn’t give too much CO2.

Today we did many stuff we made badge, bookmarks, cards (well im still making one:P,) etc.
We wanted to watch a movia called Planet Earth but it didn't work :(
Even though im not in the Global Warming/Pollution group i saw many littering, water wasting, etc.

Our field trip to Lalbagh

5th grade went on a field trip to Lalbagh for a special programme called "Bangalore Walks". We had to walk a lot. We got jute bags and notebooks on what we will be doing. We were supposed start at 06:30 but started 1 hour later at 07:30. Never mind. We started from school at 07:30 and reached Villa Del Mar at 08:00. From there it took about half an hour to reach Lalbagh. In Lalbagh we got a persn who works for bangalore walks. Her name was Rupa. The first thing we did after reaching was that we got our goodies and breakfast while miss Rupa told us about Lalbagh and how it was created. It was created by Hyder Ali but mainly taken care by his son Tipu Sultan. Tipu Sultan used to tell his messengersto get sapplings of as many plants they can to be planted in his beloved Lalbagh. After eating our breakfast we started our nature walk. We started with our first exercise. We went to 8 diffrent trees and had to write about it. We had to write which tree was it, the first things we noticed, the next things noticed, how will I remember it and what will we name it. We saw the Peepal tree, Ficus Mysore, Silk cotton tree, Sita-Ashoka tree, Sausage tree from Kenya, Chickenpox tree, Sisal tree and Buttercup Krishna. We even got to trace tree trunks of the chickenpox tree and sisal tree on a peice of paper. The buttercup Krishna tree was the most interesting tree seen during the field trip. After that we sat for a while and ate some snacks. After sometime we continued and reached 2 gardens which were called the Lalbagh gardens. We plyed a game where we were in groups of 4s or 5s. I was with Nehal, Misha, Ana and Shreya. The game was about going around the garddens and collecting the habitats (from where they are) and write it. We got18 countries. After that we headed towards the lake we saw 2 lakes, 1 we just passed through and at the other one we stopped for another exercise. In this exercise we had to use are listening skills. We had to list the we could hear and then list the sounds which were pleasant which you wished would go away. After sometime we started our walk to the last and final place, the tallest tree in Lalbagh where we did a little bit of tree trunk climbing. After an half an hour ofplay we had a final discussion about what we did during the whole day. This was one of the best Field trip ever been to.

reflection on 'the day after tommorow

in school, we watched a movie called 'the day after tommorow'. we watched it because it was realated to global warming. it is about all kinds of things that will happen to the earth once global warming takes over the world. in the movie there is a teenage guy called sam who goes to new york city with his girl friend and another guy. new york floods and he calls his dad, who sets off too rescue him. in the mean time new york freezes and everyone is cold. they are trapped in a library and have to burn books to stay warm. his dad, jack finally makes it and rescues them. they go to shelter in a helicopter.
this movie shows what will happen if global warming overcomes us all but i think that the director is just a mean person eho is trying to scare people.

PYP Exhibition So Far

  The PYP Exhibition is going great so far. Instead 0f being in the Global Warming group I have changed to the Drugs Abuse group. I find this a very interesting topic because many people all over the world die because of drugs even children. So far we have created our Unit Title, Central Idea, and our Inquiry points, which are 1-What are Drugs, 2-How do they work, 3-How are Drugs abused, 4-How do they Addict, and 5-How can we stay away from them. We are working on a play and I have made a song on drug abuse, it goes like this,

"D is for demolishing everybody's life's, R is for rehab centers, U is for underaged addicts, and G is for gross changes, CHANGES!!! The tune is the same as the EMO song. We are practically done with all our research and moved on to our Action Plans. So we still have a long way to go so were going to work really hard.

PYP Exhibition 5A!

I am in the Drug Abuse group. Many people think its no good learning about such things at this age but I think that its important that I let many people how drugs can effect you. I've been enjoying researching on the effects which drugs cause. And I plan to continue researching.

the pyp exibhition

The pyp exibition is an event held by all IBO schools in the world. Grade 5 is still working on the exibhition. We have been divded into diffrent groups. We have all chosen burning issues.
The groups are global warming & pollution, durg abuse, destroying monuments , endangerd animals & hiv\ aids .The global warming group have made a play & a dance.we get time in the UOI period to work on it .
we have also watched the movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW.It is great fun working as a group.

Reflection About The Movie Called "The Day After Tomorrow"

On the 22nd of April 2008 which is also known as Earth Day, grade 5 both A and B watched a movie called “The Day after Tomorrow”.
It is about a teenaged boy called Sam who goes through global warming. The movie shows all kinds of things that would happen if we continue Global Warming such as big chunks of ice falling from the sky as much as rain, lots of tornadoes everywhere, enormous floods that covers a whole city (New York), worst of all the three very very big hurricanes that would become bigger and bigger every minute and that would cover ALL the land on Earth in just a few hours. Which would mean – it’ll be over. Everything will be destroyed and flooded. But in the movie, at the end, Jack (Sam’s father) finds Sam and his friends and stops everything.
I really liked the movie even though I already watched it. Some parts were scary, some were a bit romantic, and others were relaxing.
By watching the movie, whoever is watching it will get a feeling that we really should stop global warming if ours and our future generation’s life values.

Global Warming is the gradual increase in the Earth's avrage temprature.

Pollution contributes to Global Warming because pollution creates gases, which traps the Sun's heat, gradually making the earth hotter.

I am also planning to take action on my own. i am planning to put up posters of drugs on the poles . I hope i can make a web site becuase then educated people can read it. • I have been working on my PYP Powerpoint in which I will show everything about PYP (Indus vision, attitudes, profiles, skills, etc.).
• I have also been researching and documenting a lot about pollution and global warming.
• I also went to Misha's house to work on the exhibition. We have planned our own website and a collage about pollution and global warming.
• We have also coreographed our dance on global warming and pollution.

The PYP Exhibition

The PYP Exhibition is a grand affair where the 5th graders have to do everything and the teachers only guide us. We (5th grdrs.) had started to talk about the PYP exhibition from the 31st of March which was the 1st time Miss Poonam and Miss Laxmi told us abut it. That day we even had started off with brain storming some burning issues which are being caused globally and after brain storming some ideas we had to pick 1 topic and write about it. by the 2nd to 4th day we decided that we all will not do the same topic we can do the topic we write about it. We came down to these topics:

• Endangered animals,
• Pollution leading to Global Warming,
• Drugs, and
• Aids.

I am in the Pollution leads toGlobal Warming.Soon after that we started making our unit title, central idea and inquiry points. very soon after that we finalized our unit title, central idea and inquiry points.
Theme: Sharing the planet.
Unit title: Only Sollution. Stop Pollution.
Cental idea: : Global warming is a serious threat to the Earth, and it is our responsibility to stop pollution in order to prevent global warming and save our planet.
Inquiry points:

· How does it affect us?
· What is our responsibility to reduce pollution and global warming?

we have even been taliking abut the profiles, attitudes, concepts, skills and pther things in PYP. We have been doing many thinngs as a group and as an individual. We have been sharing sites, Ideas on Unit titles,central ideas, inquiry points, how best might we learn,assigned each other responsibilities, shared actions etc.etc.we were supposed to make our own inquiry points. The inquiry points above are the nes i have made on my own and i have started working towards it, I have started my individual research. I have even made a plan about what I wat to do and things like that. I have made 2 planners on my action plan, 1 word and 1 ppt about PYP. on the final day each group has to present it in atleast 3 ways out of these .they are-dance, drama, poems/songs, charts,p.p.t's. We have already started our work with the dance and the drama.I even have some ideas on what we could wear on the exhibition day and what all can we do to make people aware about this burning issue.A few ideas are:

• Talk to people and ask them to spread it around.
• Put up posters around school
• start a campaign against pollution and global warming

A few ideas for what we could wear on the exhibition's day or when we go for some feild trips are:

The PYP exhibition is a huge occasion were grade 5 exhibits what they have learnt in their UOI topic, which was chosen by them. WE exhibit our topic in dances, dramas, songs, a poem, and charts.

Today I had been working on a power point presentation about PYP-stuff. It was really fun to do it, because I haven`t done something like that before. I did alot of cool things in it. I want to do it again!

What we did today

Grade 5A researched on their topics for 2 periods on the laptops.
Then, miss read us an article about sea turtles that were killed by TATA so their population were decreasing. And also about tons of oil tanks on boats that cracks and are all poured in the seas so it kills many animals. It killed about 3,000 birds. There is also about people writing "save the Earth" and etc. on chimneys and boats. So in 5 days time, they got arrested and put into jail. But not far from the jail, water was covering the land.

Preparing for the PYP exhibition

The whole of grade 5 has been working so hard on the PYP exhibiton. We have already made a central idea and inquiry points which we are researching on. The topic I am working on is pollution and glodal warming. Some girls are doing a dance while me and other people are doing a musical on global warming. It is really fun working for the exhibition and we have already got so many ideas on what to do. The main thing about this is to bring awareness to everyone to stop polluting the Earth because it is harming us. I think the exhibition is going to be so much fun.

Grade V has done quite a lot, for the past 2 and 1/2 weeks. Every body is working so hard.

The PYP Exhibition

Our class, 5A has started discussing about the PYP Exhibition. We started it on March 31st. On the first day, we individually thought thought of all the burning issues in the world. Then in class, we discussed our points with everyone else and we finalsized on four topics:

Preparing for the PYP Exhibition

I am in the group Global Warming and Pollution. I have done research on the inquiry points which my group and I had chosen. I am also planning to do a collage with Nehal that has pictures etc. We have also been given the task of making our own website on Global Warming and Pollution.

So far I like the PYP Exhibition and I want to do a good job. I also want to aim to learn all the PYP profiles, concepts and attitudes.

The PYP Exhibitionon on Drugs

Our group is currently working on our PYP exhibition on drugs. My group has already started researching and making action plans. All of out inquiry points are based on the PYP concepts.

The members in my group are Ritesh, Varchas, Karan, Riken, Rohit, Nikhil, Pranav, Vishnu and me. So far we have started a small skit on drugs and a few songs. We are specifically researching on:
a) What drugs are
b) The harmful effects of drugs
c) The different types of drugs
d) How drugs are made
e) Why drugs are addictive
f) How people can resist drugs
I hope we continue to research and one day take action to actively increase awareness on the topic. I also hope we can build our teamwork skills and make the PYP Exhibition a huge hit.

We have started researching in our gruops. We have also started researching individually. This topic is one of the most important topic because we have to form the the unit title, the central idea and the inquiry points. We use the PYP concepts to form all these things. Our musical about pollution and global warming

Today, 15/4/08, we havew decided on our musical about pollution and global warming. I was a great Risk-taker, 'cause I tryed to make a song for the musical, and then sang it for my group. They liked it, so now the son is one of the songs in the musical.
Here is the songtext:
On our Earth, we have a lot of good things! We have flowers, we have mountains, and we also have a blue sky! Refrain: Yeah, we have all you can wish! Yeah, we have all you can wish for!
We have open fields, we have green grass, and we also have blue water!

IN grade 5a in Indus international school, me and our group are doing it on GLOBAL WARMING does that ring a bell if it does i hope you have done something about it because if you haven't this is what you can do:

1. plant tree's in your garden
2. use diesel in your car
3. don't throw rubbish on the floor ( there are dustbins around, they are there for a purpose)
4. If you see rubbish around pick it up don't leave it.
5. keep your local area clean

In Gr. 5, we have started to preparing for the PYP Exhibition. After the Easter holidays, we started to choose an issue. Some people choose global warming, some pollution, drugs and animals in danger. My choice was pollution.

Now we have choose our central idea, inquiry points and a part of our plan.

How We are Preparing for the PYP Exhibition

Grade 5A started to prepare for the PYP exhibition much later than other schools but there will be no problem to catch up. We were all supposed to start 2 months ago (January).

We started straight after the Easter holidays, on Monday (the day I was absent). While I was absent, my classmates chose a burning issue and wrote about it (and I did it on April 3rd). All of us chose different topics: global warming, pollution, endangered and extinct animals, drugs and aids were chosen. The topic I chose was pollution. We also decided a theme, unit title, central idea and inquiry points.

After researching about our burning issues, we will write poems, and play scripts. And we'll make charts and we might even sing and dance.

The PYP Exhibition will be a great day for all of us in our school!!!!! :)

PYP Exhibition for 5th Grade

Right now it is a big moment for fifth grade because of the PYP Exhibition. We have been recently told this. For what we now we will be deciding what our topic will be and we will make the central idea and the inquiry points. The topic will be on a burning issue that is happening all over the world or just in India. After some voting wen have narrowed it down to Global Warming or Pollution. I am going to go for Global Warming. They are both almost the same thing because Global Warming is caused by pollution. So for the PYP Exhibition we are going to do lots of things like, make posters, make presentations, having a play, some singing and even dancing. This will almost be as big as Indus Day. But what ever we do its going to be fun.
